Rusty Teeter - Director

Rusty has been the director of the Wesley since 1998. He is an ordained minister in the Rio Texas Annual Conference. Rusty grew up on a farm in the small West Texas town of Lockney. He graduated from McMurry University in 1991 and received his Masters of Divinity in 1998 from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Rusty has been married to his wife Cheryl since 1993 and has a son, Stephen.


ann lawton - associate director

Ann Lawton is the new associate director for the Texas Wesley and she considers this a “dream job!”  Ann received her Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.  She moved here from Raleigh, NC, where she served as a discipleship pastor at Sunrise UMC, focusing on helping people to apprehend God’s love, come to faith and grow deeper roots in Christ.  In Raleigh, she also taught in the Intensive English Program for NC State University, where she enjoyed working with students from around the world. For eighteen years, she served with Pioneers in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where she focused on teaching God’s word and helping Thai women grow in knowledge, faith and love for God.  Ann’s children are Bri (23) who is a recent grad of Vanderbilt and now a teacher, and Zachary (20), who is a junior at NC State University.  In her free time, Ann enjoys playing tennis, gardening, reading, eating out and going to the theatre. 


Michael mcdonald - business manager

Michael McDonald has been our Business Manager since 2001. He handles all the money stuff and keeps us all on track. Michael graduated from UT in ’89 and got his MBA from St. Edwards. He enjoys cooking, camping and kayaking, but most of all he enjoys spending time with his wife and son. 


Chris mccormick - director of development

Chris McCormick started his college career at The University of Texas a long time ago and now he’s back.  In the years in between, he has worked as a charitable fund raiser for a number of United Methodist churches and agencies, most recently The Upper Room daily devotional magazine.  His job is telling people about Texas Wesley and inviting them to make gifts to help financially support the ministry.  His wife, Joyce, is the senior pastor at First United Methodist Church in Elgin, Texas.  Besides spending time with Joyce, he enjoys playing his guitar, singing, and cooking. 

Aurora Reinmiller - Pr student assistant

Aurora is finishing up her degree in Management Information Systems at UT. From printing flyers to booking rooms, she is your gal if you need a student contact for anything. Alongside being the PR Student Assistant, Aurora is an active member in The Texas Wesley. Aurora loves sweet potatoes, documentaries, but most importantly her dog Beall. 


Christianne Hall - ministry intern

CJ graduated from UT with a degree in International Relations and Global Studies. She is passionate about service, social justice, and is so excited to demonstrate those passions as a ministry intern! Reach out to CJ if you want to have a chat over brunch or if you can teach her to parallel park.


Jacob palmer - ministry intern

Jacob recently graduated from UT with a degree in English. He enjoys spending time outdoors, arguing about arbitrary things, and is accepting podcast recommendations. Jacob is excited to bring his passion for faith and learning to the Wesley internship!


Josh adams - worship leader

Josh has had the privilege of serving in ministry and leading worship in a variety of churches, campus ministries, on mission trips and at retreats. He is a founding member of the bluegrass/americana band Kentucky Divide. Josh has a degree in Guitar Performance from the Atlanta Institute of Music and teaches guitar, ukulele and bass at the Musicians Woodshed and Guitar Center. He met his beautiful wife, Morgan, in North Carolina and they have been married since 2010. He is a diehard Kentucky Wildcat fan and has two spoiled dogs, Sadie and Wyatt.
