Rusty Teeter – Director
Rusty has been the director of the Wesley for 10 years. He is an ordained minister in the Southwest Texas United Methodist conference. Rusty grew up on a farm in a small, West Texas town, Lockney. He graduated from McMurry University in 1991 and received his Masters of Divinity in 1998 from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Rusty is married to Cheryl since 1993 and has a 10 year old son, Stephen. Email Rusty
Rachael Toomire – Assistant Director
Rachael started in June of 2006. She became a Christian through the Texas Wesley when she was a student and considers it a dream come true to serve as the Assistant Director. Rachael supports the programming council and focuses on women’s ministry. Email Rachael
Michael McDonald – Business Manager
Michael McDonald has been our Business Manager for about 5 years. He handles all the money stuff and keeps us all on track. Michael graduated from UT in ’89 and got his MBA from St. Edwards. He enjoys cooking, camping and kayaking, but most of all he enjoys spending time with his wife and new baby boy. Email Michael
Chris McCormick-Director of Development
Chris McCormick started his college career at The University of Texas a long time ago and now he’s back. In the years in between, he has worked as a charitable fund raiser for a number of United Methodist churches and agencies, most recently The Upper Room daily devotional magazine. His job is telling people about Texas Wesley and inviting them to make gifts to help financially support the ministry. His wife, Joyce, is the senior pastor at First United Methodist Church in Elgin, Texas. Besides spending time with Joyce, he enjoys playing his guitar, singing, and cooking. Email Chris
Greg Smith-Intern
Greg graduated from UT in 2010 and is now interning with the Wesley. After graduation, he spent 4 months working in Ukraine, supporting another college ministry similar to the Wesley. Now that he is back, he is co-leading a discipleship group, staffs outreach council, and helps out with various other groups at the Wesley. Greg is an easy person to talk to enjoys hanging out with other people. He particularly likes finding ways to encourage people in whatever situations they are going through. For his future, he feels a call to vocational ministry and hopes to go into seminary and/or be involved in church planting.
Sadie Brink-Intern
Sadie grew up in East Texas and graduated from UT in December 2011 and is now interning at the Wesley. She leads Women of the Wesley, staffs Connect Council, coordinates our weekly worship service Overflow, and does a variety of other things at the Wesley. She is a very outgoing person and enjoys playing disc golf, watching Bones, and reading in her spare time. Sadie is currently in the process of being ordained in the United Methodist Church. Jordan Treuter-Intern
Erica Stec- PR Student Assistant
Erica works in the office, helping Rusty and Rachael keep everything running smoothly week-to-week. She keeps the website updated, makes fliers and bulletins for worship, and knows how to use Ricoh, the printer. Erica is a third-year advertising major UT. She is outgoing and loves to make friends! She can take down anyone in a game of Bananagrams, and plays at local coffee shops with friends. She enjoys watching The Big Bang Theory and reading Harry Potter. Her newest hobby is sewing, and she’s trying to learn to make her own clothes. She is always a joy to be around a blessing as a friend. Email Erica at mail@texaswesley.com
