Rusty Teeter – Director
Rusty has been the director of the Wesley for 10 years. He is an ordained minister in the Southwest Texas United Methodist conference. Rusty grew up on a farm in a small, West Texas town, Lockney. He graduated from McMurry University in 1991 and received his Masters of Divinity in 1998 from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Rusty is married to Cheryl since 1993 and has a 10 year old son, Stephen. Email Rusty
Rachael Toomire – Assistant Director
Rachael started in June of 2006. She became a Christian through the Texas Wesley when she was a student and considers it a dream come true to serve as the Assistant Director. Rachael supports the programming council and focuses on women’s ministry. Email Rachael
Michael McDonald – Business Manager
Michael McDonald has been our Business Manager for about 5 years. He handles all the money stuff and keeps us all on track. Michael graduated from UT in ’89 and got his MBA from St. Edwards. He enjoys cooking, camping and kayaking, but most of all he enjoys spending time with his wife and new baby boy. Email Michael
Diana Hamil – Campaign Assistant / Alumni Correspondent
Diana Hamil is newly graduated from The University of Texas with her Sociology Degree. She is the Campaign Assistant / Alumni correspondent. In other words she holds our past together and helps us prepare for the future. Everyone who knows Diana would agree that she has played a significant role in the Wesley throughout her years at UT. She served as the Connect Council Coordinator for two years and currently leads a women discipleship group. We don’t know what we would do without her. Email Diana
Kevin Portwood – Intern
Kevin Portwood is thrilled to serve as one of this year’s interns! He graduated May 2010 from UT with a degree in Psychology, and plans to go to seminary in a few years and become an ordained Methodist minister. Last March, Kevin took his then-girlfriend Allie up on a hot air balloon ride, and proposed to her, making her his fiance. We’re all excited about their upcoming wedding next May! Kevin loves competitive sports of all kinds including disc golf and ultimate frisbee, but he has a special obsession with UT Football and Basketball. During his time at the Wesley, Kevin led several small groups and eventually became the Small Group Coordinator. Kevin loves to talk and hang out with everyone, so definitely get to know him while you’re at the Wesley. Email Kevin!
Lanie Crow – Intern
Lanie Crow is so pumped to be one of the Wesley interns this year! She graduated in May 2010 from UT with a degree in Psychology, and is prayerfully considering a career in missions. A smart and sassy, fun-loving Cajun from Orange, TX, she is appalled by people who don’t love spicy seafood (but don’t worry, she’ll still love you!). She also loves cheese, Harry Potter, and being outside. During her time in the Wesley, she served on Connect Council and worked as the student assistant keeping everything organized and running smoothly! She loves to encourage people on their spiritual path, and has a knack for asking just the right questions to make you think. Her favorite way to connect with people is one-on-one time, so look out for a phone call after you meet her! Email Lanie
Erica Stec- Student Assistant
Erica works in the office, helping Rusty and Rachael keep everything running smoothly week-to-week. She keeps the website updated, makes fliers and bulletins for worship, and knows how to use Ricoh, the printer. Erica is a second-year advertising major UT. She is outgoing and loves to make friends! She can take down anyone in a game of Bananagrams, and plays at local coffee shops with friends. She enjoys watching Survivor and reading Harry Potter. Her newest hobby is sewing, and she’s taking classes to learn to make her own clothes. She is always a joy to be around a blessing as a friend. Email Erica at mail@texaswesley.com
