Missions

Serving in missions is a large part of the Wesley experience.  Each year we take several week to month long trips to places domestic and abroad that give our students the opportunity to serve others through work projects, evangelism, and acts of love.  Through these experiences students get a taste of God’s call for us to be actively loving in this world.

Upcoming Mission Trips

Ukraine Mission Trip

  • This summer (around the beginning of June) we’re going to Lviv, Ukraine to serve Molod Do Isusa, a campus ministry there.  We’ll be helping them remodel their student center.  The cost of the trip is $1700-$200, but don’t worry-we’ll be fundraising together.  Deadline to apply is Thursday, February 2.  Talk to Greg for more information.

Previous Trips Include:

New Delhi, India

  • In August 2009 and 2010, groups went to New Delhi, India to partner with a ministry called Truthseekers International.  They joined them to help end the effects of the caste system and spread Christ’s gospel of equality and love.  They helped in neighborhood schools; playing with children and helping them learn English.  The team also participated in four foot washing rallies, where they joined Indian social and spiritual leaders in washing the feet of those considered “untouchable.”  They were excited about joining God’s work in India and supporting the mission of Truthseekers!

Beach Reach

  • Spring Break 2011 – During Spring Break a big group from Wesley and an even bigger group of combined campus ministries traveled to South Padre for Spring Break.  They ministered to Spring Breakers by providing free van rides from anywhere people needed to go and then fed them pancakes.  There was also lots of praying and fellowship time.  For more information please go to beachreach.org.
