Good time enjoyed by all on the annual InterWesley Retreat

28 Texas Wesley Students and staff attended the annual InterWesley Retreat in Cross Point Camp near Kingston, Oklahoma this weekend.  We were combined with a total of 135 students and staff from United Methodist Campus Ministries from several different campuses in our jurisdiction including Texas Luthern Univeristy, Oklahoma University, Oklahoma State University, and several others.  We were moved as we worshipped in the evenings and mornings lead in worship by the Kyle Cantrell band.  Rev. DA Bennet and Dr. Guy Ames both from the Oklahoma Annual Conference challenged us with encouraging words about God’s call, qualification and standard for each of us as he has a plan for all in this generation to be in ministry to others in his name.

Saturday afternoon gave us the opportunity for some innovated seminars on Outreach and Evangelsm, worship, call to ministry, Global Christianity, and prayer.

We enjoyed getting to know new Wesley friends from other campuses and had a great time on the road trip, playing mah jong, volleyball, and ultimate.  It was a good time of bonding.  We were especially excited to have Krystal and Amy attend their first Wesley retreat.  Comment here on what was especially enjoyable on the retreat for you!
